Firstly, a huge thanks to the On Family for being test subjects as I explore the world of family photography. Secondly, a special thanks to Momma On for loaning me her camera as mine is still in the States with my Mrs.

So, once again, completely open for comments and criticism. These photos were taken with a Canon Xsi with 18-55 f3.5-5.6 lens.

Rome, Take 1

As promised, here is part of my first major outing with my new gear. Still working on the learning curve. But, a few good shots. If you see a watermark (Photomatix), it means it's three exposures merged into one "HDR" shot. Trial software. What do you think? CC (comments and criticism) most welcome.

A newly reenergized blogger

I have to admit, that I've become rather notorious for starting new blogs and then abandoning them; three to date. However, my approach to this new blog is simple. Short on words, long on images.

My wife bought me a new camera for my birthday (a little early, but I don't mind). It's on its way to Mexico City with a brief layover in Utah from New York City. I am the proud new owner of a Canon EOS 40D.

Stay tuned as I'll be updating in the coming weeks with pictures from Teotihuacan, Mexico City, Rome, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, and wherever else preempts me to capture my own perspective.
